New start!

We are now training on a Monday night, 8pm-9pm, with a club called Hazy Shades DTS.

There was some stur with Marley at Waldridge, and after leaving for a long time and then talking to the trainers it just wasn't to be for the scruffy little bugger.

Anyway, it was our first class with HS last night (Monday 14th) and I can happily say I won't regret this! He grasped full height tyre, floppy-tunnel, hard tunnel, a bit of contact work and then some jump work. What's best is that I can expect more of it, too - the class only has four dogs including Marley, and last night it was only three!

I can't tell you how happy I am.

He was a little nervous being around a new place and new dogs, and without Gypsy. He wasn't his usual self, (confident, loony!), but considering the circumstances I'm so proud of him. He also may have trouble with tunnels, has he's generally crawling through them due to his size. But Joanne said due to his speed as long as I can grasp that he has potential, so tunnels aren't anything to worry about yet.

Phewf, I'm glad we've joined. I know them roughly from seeing them at my last club anyway, so hopefully all will go well. :D

Personal Rant. Got nothing to do with Marley, bless him.

So there's a new girl at school. Has been for a week today.
She's japanese. So?
She sits next to me in Maths and Science - we made "friends" (in speach marks because we don't know each other all that well).
Everything is fine in maths, I ask her a few questions how long she's been in England, where else she's been (she lived in Canada for a short time, she has a beautiful American accent).
So in science I'm not listening to whatever Ms Nuttney was saying. God her voice just drains through you. I asked Katie what we were doing, and she explained I just had to fill in the sheet about energy. Hmph - fair enough. So suddenly I have her leant over me saying "MOH MO KAA? ARE-YOU-OKAY? YOU JUST FILL IN-THIS-PART HERE!" And she's pointing to one of the boxes and treating her as if she were three. Momoka looked at me a little confused, but laughing so I pushed Katie off me and said "Katie, she knows." then laughed. I got a hacky look but she gave out a fake chuckle.
How can people be that way? She speaks FLUENT english. I've only ever seen Katie act that way before (apart from with her cousin who suffers from downsyndrome(sp)) - she seemed so up herself - as if she was more domminant. Maybe it sounds crazy, but argh it annoyed me.
So anyway Momoka was off today and Katie started talking about her..
Katie: Momoka seems - nice.
Me: Yeah, she's great! She seems to intelligent and pretty, too.
Katie: Mm. It must be hard for her though. I could never leave schools. Think what it would do to me.
WTF.
Okay, so maybe it doesn't seem that bad - but seriously, you should have seen her! Argh. They couldn't remember her name either so they've all been bitching about her; laughing and calling her "Mozirella".
Why are people like this?

Anyway! Marley has been doing a bit of V Weaving but we're stopping until the wind/rain dies down a little. I really don't think he's got the hang of it.. or if he has I'm most certaintly not doing it right. Oh well.

Highlights 2006

I've made a three minute long video that took me one hour to make. O.O
Anyway, its pretty much just agility, basic training and a few extra vids & pics off 2006. I plan to have one for each year - but tbh I know for a fact that I'll have loads - but thats all part of improving. :D

V Weaves!!

They came today! Won't be testing Marley on them until Saturday - when its not dark. I hate winters, after school is just completely pitch black.

They're quite good from what we've seen of them, but they might be a bit of a hastle in the wind/rain. But oh well.

Also, since I'm just figuring out how to do it, Marley's friends have blogs, too!!

Will try and add them to a side bar.. when I'm more used to this place. xD

Introduction

Welcome! This is primarily for my Longdog Marley and his progress with what will mainly be agility, but other bits and bobs too.

I wasn't fortunate enough to really witness Gypsy's exact improvements because it was such a long process. I can tell, just I would have liked to keep a diary of her. And so, with the new year have arrived so soon, Marley will be starting agility properly. To this day (Tues, 9th Jan.) Marley knows only basics such as 'OVER' - so there is nothing that I will really be missing out. I thought 2007 would be Gypsy's real competing year, but she's not getting any faster or any slimmer - or any younger for that matter, so I've decided agility will never be serious with her unless things change. Plus, with such a fast little(!) lurcher in my hands I need to concentrate on his training now.

I hope you all enjoy it. I don't expect anyone to really pay much notice in this because its really just my own personal thing, but it will be videos as well as a journal, too.

Thank you for reading. Our actual classes with Marley start sometime this month as I have a show competing with Gypsy & Jazz, I will tell you the news and give you the videos from that too.
